Ann Marie, I don’t know that I’ll ever have another student who loved taking my exams as much as you did. I’ve so enjoyed having you in my classes, those required and those chosen. If anyone asks, I’ll tell them you had a concentration in Bleattler!

Notes for Ann

Ann Marie—to know you is to love you. I am so proud of you! Thank you for your joy that you brought (and still bring) to the House. You are one unforgettable person in my life. I wish you all the best in your post-grad endeavors, and I can’t wait to witness all that God has in store for you 🙂 <3

Ann Marie — Congrats on graduation and even more congratulations on the Magna Cum Laude achievement! I thank you for always being able to bring smiles to any classroom and make anything fun. I will also never forget how great of a feeling it is to get a juice box from you. All the best wishes, Ann Marie!

Ann Marie!!! I am going to miss you so terribly. It’s been so wild to see you go from the kind of person who sings Hamilton all the time to the kind of person who says “wow I am so tired of Hamilton”. I’ve never enjoyed a finals week more than when you Gracie and I sent some wild Justinian content around during Late Antiquity class, and made up Taylor swift parodies about Heraclius and the David Plates. When the Secret History one day becomes a movie I hope you still have my number saved because you will be hearing from me A LOT when that happens. I cannot WAIT to see the kinds of things you do for this city. And of course, I hope your little Arty plushy gets to follow you through it all 🙂

Ann Marie! Congratulations on graduating! It was such a pleasure getting to serve with you on Exec; your enthusiasm and radiant joy were invaluable to the team, and your support is something I will always be grateful for. It’s been wonderful to see you grow over these past few years, and I cannot wait to see where God leads you next. Best of luck, dear friend. <3

I’m really looking forward to next year when all I’ll ever hear is “how’s Ann Marie?” That is bound to be my sole purpose on campus until I graduate. That’s the kind of impact you’ve had on everyone around you at King’s. So many girls in the House of Barton look up to and admire you. The way I hear our peers talk about you reminds me how lucky I am to be with you. You often doubt yourself, or call yourself emotionless, when you’re actually one of the most kind and caring people at King’s. I also don’t know anybody else who complains about papers so much while consistently getting straight A’s. I’ve see younger students marvel at the kind of relationships you have with professors like Dr. Bleattler and Dr. Johnson. It’s going to be difficult to graduate without you waiting for me in the Lion’s Den, but I couldn’t be more excited to see where you go in NYC and what you’re going to make of yourself. I’ll be right next to you every step of the way.

Ann Marie! I love you ✨so much✨ (I hope the site captures the sparkle emojis there) I’ll never forget how surprised I was when I found out you were my big. You are so encouraging and care so deeply for others. It’s been amazing to get to know you and I cannot wait to see what you do next. Thank you for all the prayers, matcha, and love. YOU DID IT <3

Ann Marie! Congratulations!
So are you gonna mail juice boxes to the school on Fridays or???

anne marie <3 you are the cutest. congrats on graduating and i cannot wait to see what crazy (cool) things you'll get yourself into!!!!

Ann Marie, you make this school that can be so frigid and cold, feel like the best of sunny days! Your bright light will be missed, but also nyc needs your sunshine and you will do such good things. congrats friend 🙂

One last apology for breaking your wrist, but honestly, YOU were the one who wanted to skateboard!!!! You’ve been a good pal AM, and I know you’ll do some amazing things. When the going gets tough, make sure to hide in a playground in the middle of the night for a good detox!

As a little girl, you had a determined spirit and a twinkle in your eye. As a young woman, you have reached your goals and have made your family proud. You have been a blessing to me and I love you very much.

Ann Marie, I am so fortunate to have had you in class this last semester! You are incredibly smart, curious, and conscientious — congratulations and all the best!

Ann Marie! My gosh, you’re the best! From our friendship starting with an epic Fall Retreat birthday 😉 and hug. You are a ray of sunshine, and I love seeing you on campus. I love your juice boxes, and I love our friendship even more! Congratulations!

So proud of all that you’ve done, how you’ve grown, and where God will take you in this next step.

Ann Marie, you are the best helmsman a freshman could ask for. Thank you for loving house so well, and for being such a sunshine in the King’s community. You lead by example and pursue the goodness and God’s word with fervor. Can’t wait to see what you do next, and don’t forget it’s great to be a clara barton and come back and see us please <3

CONGRATS ANMI!! I am so proud of you & excited to see all of the amazing things you are going to accomplish! Thank you for making interregnum fun & for the countless memories! Remember to celebrate yourself & your accomplishments & your positive impact on others- you deserve all the recognition! Peace, Blessings, & Cats <3

Ann Marie, dear Ann Marie! I thank God that He brought our paths together and gave us many lovely conversations. I love the way you approach life with curiosity and honesty. Thank you for being who you are and for pouring into our House as an involved upperclassman. Love you lots!

Ann Marie, I still think of you and me as little rats in The Emperor’s New Clothes and little pirates in Pirates of Penzance! ;D It was such a joy to see you sitting in the front row of my first class at The King’s College freshman year! (Throwback to College Writing with Josh Mackin! :o) It felt like a full circle to be in a class with you again in the front row of Professor Wilkinson’s Cultural Criticism class in our final semester senior year! Thank you for being a light, a joy, a passionate individual, a kind and caring human, and a great friend! You are an AMAZING writer and dancer, and I will miss being blessed by your talents and your lovable personality every week at school. Let me know if you ever need anything. I look forward to staying in touch!!! Congratulations, graduate!!!!!

Ann Marie, when I think of you, I think of faithfulness. Whether it’s bringing juice boxes to school every Friday (and then Monday) every week for four years without fail, your perseverance through struggles, or the way you consistently build up your friends, you are a person I want to have around. King’s is a better place for having had you in it. Congrats on finishing well!
