Daniel, it was a treat to have you in both Con Law and ELD. Your intellectual curiosity and probing questions were most welcome and did much to enhance our class discussions.

Notes for Daniel

Daniel! You constantly inspire me and keep me going. I enjoy your curiosity and it was an honor sitting with you in class for the past few years. I always love hearing you ask thoughtful questions. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you! Go, Daniel!

You have been one of my most constant companions at King’s. I appreciated having you in the House and getting to know you, especially on retreat. You are a solid man who makes those around you want to be better.

Daniel. You’ve got some rare but powerful gifts that you utilize well.
It is going to be fun seeing how God unfolds those in you, and to see how he uses you and Shannon as you do life together.
Lisa and I are delighted to be part of y’alls life.

Congratulations on your graduation. I always knew you would be destined for great things and today is another step to that greatness. I am looking forward to seeing you again very soon. All my love from your Godfather.

Daniel, I am so proud of you. Though we haven’t seen you in recent years, you will always hold a special place in my heart. You have experienced things in life that most young adults do not have the opportunity to do. Your parents laid a great foundation for you and you expanded on it with your education.
I can not wait to see where God leads you next. I love you bunches!
Aunt Melanie

You’ve found an absolutely wonderful life partner in Shannon and this is one of the most admirable and wise decisions you’ve made in your well-lived 22 years. You’re an outstanding individual and incredible friend. I love you more than I will ever be able to show or say. You deserve the very best life offers, and I know you will offer the very best of yourself to others the rest of your life. You make me proud and you make me want to be a better man. God bless you. Daniel, I can’t believe you are graduating college! I’ve pretty much known you my whole life and it is crazy to see you all grown up! I know you are going to do great things! Congratulations!

We agree with all the heartfelt sentiments expressed above. Consequently, we will share events in your life that pertain to those sentiments rather than repeat the many kind remarks.

We noticed your exceptionalism early on regarding acquired skills and determination. As a baby, you laid on your back with your feet in the air trying to balance a soda can. Initially, you dropped it, but you kept at it. Within a few minutes, you could not only hold it, but you could spin it with your toes.

As a toddler you organized toys based on size color and function. Some, such as cars, were sorted and put in straight lines. Then, after re-evaluation, we marveled at your logic, as you exchange cars between lines to meet your criterion. Later in life, your administration of a vast Thomas The Train railway system steadily progressed into a model of efficiency that Amtrak could today Envy.

During our infamous Nuthead / Eisenhower war at the turn of the 21st century, you maintained a determination to win every encounter throughout the heat of the battle, a trait you retain today. Each of Eisenhower’s unfair tactical maneuvers, that negatively impacted your victory, were met head-on with physical attacks upon a gloating grandfather conversed with laughter.

While playing games at Chuck E. Cheese and later playing grown-up video games, you exhibited the capacity to refine your game and advance to the top levels, a trait you carried over to real life. Regarding work ethic, you required little oversight while employed at the world headquarters due to your all-out effort to complete assigned tasks above our expectations. For example, carrying heavy items upstairs was done two steps at a time!

We were impressed by your desire and effort to attain and improve computer proficiency at a young age. Relatively high-level employment started in your mid-teens, analyzing computer networks over the phone or alone in the field to find problems and implement fixes. When needed, you continued that line of work during college while working three other jobs and carrying a full class load.

Daniel, we congratulate you on attending your college degree. You know we love you very much. We also know you appreciate your parents financial support and the many personal hours spent in academic and professional instruction toward your education and accomplishments. We congratulate them also.

With all our love and admiration, grandma and grandpa.

Congratulations big brother!! I remember the day you left for college and how heartbroken I was that you were leaving but having seen who you grew into I’m glad you did! You’ll never know how thankful I am to have you for a brother. Thank you for setting good examples and pushing me to do things I wouldn’t normally do. You inspire me to try new things and to see life in a different way. I’m so happy for you and Shannon! Love you so so much!

Daniel Phelps. Where do I even begin? From late night gospel mission trips, to CoD zombies, Reagan Exec & Brooklyn shenanigans, we really had some great times. Your passion for truth and your desire to live a significant life can be seen in what you do every day. Hopefully you keep the fire warm up there in Alaska, as I do intend on coming to visit soon. 😉 Keep in touch, good sir! Up and to the Left!

I can’t believe you are already graduating college and soon to be married. It has been an honor to watch you grow from a 5 year-old-boy into an incredible young man. All three of my boys have looked up to you, and I am grateful that they have such a great example to follow. Congratulations on such an accomplishment!

Congratulations big brother! I’m so proud of you and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter of your life brings! I love you ❤️
