Notes for Emily

Congrats, Emily! I am so proud of all that you’ve accomplished and the person that you are today! It has been wonderful to watch you grow in your time at King’s. Thank you for letting me be a part of that. I am excited to see where you go from here!

Alright here it goes:
Emily, our friendship was so unexpected but I am so grateful for it. We went from serving on exec together, to going on adventures in Emily country (otherwise known as Lancaster). My favorite memories with you are found in the less-photographable moments of you hanging out in my apartment playing MASH and laughing about ridiculous things. We have shared so many laughs, screams, and heartache together.
I am so proud of you, and I am incredibly grateful to have gained a lifelong friendship with you.

Emily!! you are a gorgeous soul! it has been a joy to be your friend for the past couple of years! you keep me laughing and can always brighten a mood. i’m so proud of all you accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!!

Emily,

I have loved getting to do King’s with you over the past three years and have especially loved being your Barton sister. Some of my favorite memories are listening to you belt out Taylor Swift as we drive to Barton retreat, struggling to learn how to use chopsticks together, and, of course, staying up super late to play MASH and eat way too much cookie dough. I will miss your contagious laughter and energy. Cheers to graduating, and best of luck with everything next. Congratulations, friend!

To the only person I’ll talk to before 9am,

I am beyond honored to call you a friend and to have watched you grow- you’ve shown me how to love people and what it means to serve. I can’t wait to watch you storm the events world and do exactly what you love <3

Emily, what can I even say? I just love you so much. What a great friend you have been to me, throughout everything (plus a pandemic). You are, without a doubt, the best hostess with the mostest. I am so happy we were on Events together, but more importantly, I am beyond thankful that we are friends. I cannot fathom a way to express my love for you so I will end this note here… but I love you so, so much and you are one of my favorite humans.

An incredible friend, encourager, tour guide, and campaign manager, and fellow Sheaffer enthusiast. 🙂

Thanks for having my back this year when I needed it the most. You’re incredibly dependable and kind to everyone with whom you interact. You’re the best!

Emily! Do you remember fall 2019 when we became friends because we realized we were in five classes together? I’ve enjoyed going through this wild PPE journey together. Your laughter is contagious and helped get me through some of those long T/F classes with ELD, ETAP, and Philosophy of Religion back to back. I will miss you a lot! I hope things start opening up soon so that you can live your best life working in events!

Emily!! You are ✨amazing✨ You’ve been such a kind, encouraging force since my days as a baby Barton. I miss going out for yummy desserts, Costco, and hearing your laughter. Thank you for being a rock during difficult PPE classes and laughing with me during Zoom class 😂 love ya and congratulations!!

Congratulations Emily!! From that quirky little research writing class to con law, it’s been such a privilege to go to King’s with you. You’re such a warm and friendly presence on campus, and are so good at making people feel valued. Best wishes as you walk into this next season! I know that, wherever you go, those around you will be richly blessed!

Oh Emily. The number one John Adams fan. It’s so so strange to think we started in good old 2T and now we’re so old! As much as I miss living with you I definitely don’t miss climbing up your desk to that bunk, that was a time… Anyways… I’m so so happy I got to see you through all these years of classes together, seeing you do great in all your leadership positions, and be a social butterfly the entire time doing it. I’m so proud of you, fellow PA kid 🙂

Emily!!! You rock and I’m so proud of you. Thanks for putting up with me and being a fabulous events committee member! Love you lots

Emily – Congratulations on your graduation! Thank you for spending time with Ezra on those interesting days when I brought him to campus. 🙂 Wishing you the best for all that’s to come!

EMILY!!!!! I am so SO proud of you!!! Thanks for introducing me to Costco’s churros and for being such a good friend. I pray that God blesses your life continually!

Emily, what a gift you are to our House! I treasure the friendship we have built throughout your years at King’s. I’m proud to have watched you learn from both success and disappointment. I loved seeing you give of your talents as Interregnum Liaison, through your event responsibilities outside of school, and as a friend to your classmates. I always appreciate the way you approach concerns with maturity and discernment. Thank you for sharing yourself with me. So proud of you!!!

Emily, Congrats!!!! From our valentine’s movie might to Greenwich late-night venting sessions to thrift shopping in Connecticut, I have loved every moment of our friendship. I love that no matter how long we have spent apart, our friendship and sisterhood (thank you house of barton) have been solid and unchanging <3. I love you so much and am so proud of you!

Emily, congratulations!!! You did it!! I’m so thankful to have known you. Thank you for all the times you fed me and for being such a good friend. I hope you go on to bigger and better things and I look forward to continually celebrating you!! I’m so happy and proud of you!

My dearest Grom date (RIP Grom, you were a real one) and one of my very first friends at King’s! I love you so dearly and will miss getting to see your beautiful face around campus all the time. I love you, and can’t wait to see what you’re up to next!
