Notes for Joseph

Fritz, I already miss your presence at the front of my literature classrooms! Your passion for great books and your deep insights combined with your quick laugh and fun-loving spirit were an inspiration to me, and I’m sure to many of your classmates as well. I wish all the best to you and Robyn in Ohio, and wherever your journey takes you next.

Congratulations, Fritz! I’m celebrating with you the close of this milestone and excited to see where you will go next. Thank you for your faithful presence in Student Success in the wild semester of Spring 2020!

Fritz, so thankful to have gotten to know you these past four years. You modeled consistency in character, you lead the house with wisdom and humility, and you practiced intentionality in friendship. I deeply appreciated your ability both within and without of the house to draw our attention back to our mission of loyalty, fraternity, and honor. Thank you for teaching and reminding me of my duties as a man and brother. Above all, thank you for your constant friendship. Cheers to the next chapter!

I admired your leadership and enthusiasm you exhibited at TKC. I often would think that you were a high water mark for what it meant to be “kingsian” and often would hear chatter when I was up on campus that confirmed that I was not the only one who held you in such high esteem. Keep doing the Good work.

Fritz,

Congratulations on this esteemed achievement! It was such a privilege serving alongside you on the Council and the various committees with that. Your humble desire to learn and be shaped by truth is something I’ve always admired about you. Best of luck with everything that awaits you, and congratulations again!

Sir:
You made any class better. You can even translate and explain syntax of “cum laude” in a winsome manner–approaching Newman’s ideal of the gentleman scholar.

Fritz, congratulations on completing this step of your journey! I will always be grateful for how you answered the call to help on the craziest moving day of my family’s life. May God pave a joyful and fruitful path forward!

Congrats Fritz!!!! It was always a joy to have classes with you and your wisdom and love for Wendell Berry! I hope you have a grand ole time in Ohio and get to read great literature in the woods all the time!!!

Fritz,

We were never close, but you still found a way to make me feel comfortable each and every time we talked. Easily the best president, and an exceptionally good one during a tumultuous time. I appreciate you for being a good friend and an even better person.

Congratulations on the graduation big bro, I wish you and the lady all the best in life. Please do stay in touch.

Much love

Fritz,
Thank you always for your sincerity, your thoughtfulness, and your humor in the classes we shared. It was a joy to sit next to you, and I’m sorry that our hot streak has long since been broken (was it three straight semesters?)

God bless you in all your future endeavors. I’m sure you’ll bring the same wisdom (and strong facial hair game) to wherever life takes you next.

Congrat Fritz, thank you for your leadership, wisdom, and also all those really good tweets that made my day. You are gonna be missed and I wish you all the best in your next chapter!

My dear husband,
To say I am proud of you is an understatement. You flourished here at King’s these last 4 years as your love for learning was fed through your classes and your skills for leadership and compassion were exercised being part of the House of Reagan. I have loved these last 4 years as you have studied hard and even though our schedules were so hectic and ever changing, I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Even though your graduation brings a big change and an unknown future, I know your have the wisdom to discern the path ahead and, as we always have, trust God to provide for us along the way. I love you more than words can express. You are my favorite.
Love, Robyn

Sir, a pleasure as always to be accompanied in Reagan with you, and to take down that tree with you after many cigars. You’re an old man now, but a good man. Keep it up. Oh, and sincere salutations to dear Mrs. Fritz.

Fritz, it’s been a privilege to get to know you and Robyn at church and to have you in class this last semester. You were always prepared with a great insight on any question — thank you for sharing your ideas so readily. Congratulations!

Fritz!! Thank you so much for bringing such wisdom and compassion to King’s these past years!! I’m so glad our times here overlapped, and I loved getting to share classes and faculty wing chats with you!! Congratulations Sir!!

Fritz! I am so thankful for every class we’ve been in, being able to be in Statesmenship together, and being in brother/sister houses. You have consistently poured into King’s and I am grateful to have been on the receiving end of your kindness so often. Congratulations!!!
Tell Robyn she has to start coming to QE1 Alum events!

Fritz. Thank you for always being someone to look up to throughout my time at The King’s College. You led the House of Reagan during our most tumultuous hour, and for that, I am forever grateful. You are a man of great wisdom, and I am happy to have gotten to know you over the last four years. Lets keep in touch!
