Notes for Kala

Congrats- Kala! I’m so glad you are in the House of Thatcher! Thank you for all the ways you served in your time here! Wishing you the best always!

Kala, I regret that you never had the chance to take one of my classes, but I’m impressed by the work you did at Oxford and proud that you’re one of our English major graduates. Congratulations on all of your achievements and on your graduation!

Kala, I couldn’t be more proud of you and all you’ve accomplished over your three years at King’s. You had a dream to live in NYC, and you did what you could to make that dream a reality. It has been so fun watching you thrive and become the amazing woman you are! I can’t wait to see the impact you are going to make in your next season of life. Keep testing the limits, enjoying life, and reaching for everything you want. Love you lots, peanut!

Congratulations on graduating! And during a pandemic no less!

It’s been so fun for me to live vicariously thru you and your mom as you’ve shared stories of your experience with attending King’s College and living in NYC. Both things I strongly considered at one point in my life. 🙂

Cheers for the adventures ahead. I have no doubt you will do wonderful things.

Be sure to celebrate!

~ Erica (your mom’s friend from work)

Kala, I have followed your journey through your mom and am so very proud of you! You have made good choices, showed grit and determination, and lived your dream for college. Way to go! May the coming steps in life bring you ample opportunity for growth as well as successes!
Your friend, Heather

I really do have the best big ever. Kala, I will never forget you asking if I wanted to go kayaking at Fall Retreat (RIP). It was the genuine and spontaneous inclusion for me! 😉 Kala, you are so talented and capable. Furthermore, you are MORE than good enough! Know that no matter what, you have people in your corner and on your side. I love you so much!! #BestBigEver

Wow! I can’t believe you are graduating college! Three years has gone by in a blink and we are all so proud of you and everything that you have achieved! You are so brilliant, tenacious, determined, and so very special to all of us. We are excited to see you and celebrate your graduation and the next exciting chapter of your life! We love you!!!

“give me darkness when i’m dreaming
give me moonlight when i’m leaving
give me shoes that weren’t made for standing
give me tree-line, give me big sky, get me snow-bound, give me rain clouds give me a bed time…just sometimes” -Gregory Alan Isakov

Congratulations to my brilliant little!! You are so capable and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will do. Love you tons and cheering for you all the way!

Every time you have said something in class, I sit there and think, “How?”, and then worry that I will never comprehend important works of literature like you do. 🙂 So glad to graduate in English with you!
