Notes for Madelynn

Congrats, Madelynn! You have such a beautiful and strong spirit that will be noticeably gone from our hallways next year. Thank you for being such a strong leader for the house. Keep changing the world ๐Ÿ’›

You unstoppable woman! I would say good luck dealing with the world but I think it’s the world that needs to prepare itself for your fearlessness. Thank you for all your hard work and love, follow you always<3

Maddie,
I am so glad to have known you in my time at King’s. Your passion, dedication, and brilliance were an asset on the Council and I am glad to have had you around. Your ability to be clear-headed in difficulty is admirable. All who know you are lucky for it.

Congratulations, Maddie! From the first moment I joined Mock Trial (throwback), I knew you were an incredible woman. Those memories are some of my favorite King’s experiences, and I am forever grateful for your humor, grace, and friendship. I definitely would not have survived those weekend trips without you ๐Ÿ™‚ Best wishes for the future!!

I want to be on your team. I don’t even need to know where we are going, because I am confident you will lead the way with conviction and wit. Soli Dei Gloria.

You are absolutely unforgettable Mad-Dog. There’s absolutely no other chaotic person I could imagine trekking through freshman year alongside. Your absolutely insane work ethic, tireless ambition, and endless pursuit of the good in your life + in the world writ large will ensure that no matter what course your life takes, it will be a rich and lively one. Try to slow down once or twice along the way, for me if not for you. Love you!!

Congrats, Grand Little! You are a force to be reckoned with – in the best way possible!

Maddie Kaufmann! I’m so grateful for your hilarity and ambition. Our school is already poorer without you. love you always <3

I’m so glad I got to get to know you and be on your advisory committee last year! You’ve been such a good leader during your time here at kings and I know you’re going to keep on being one ๐Ÿ™‚ Congratulations!

Oh Maddiey! So many things to say and yet so few words…you are such a force, and Iโ€™m so lucky I got to work along side you on Cabinet. You rock and I love you!!

Mad dog! You are one of the best things to ever happen to me. You have been there through my best and worst moments over the past four years, and never failed to bring a level head and needed encouragement. Your spunk, charisma, and ferocious care for the vulnerable are unmatched. You are a powerful force for good (and often chaotic good) in this bleeding world. Keep on being “characteristically furious” and polishing the patriarchal scare talk. I’m forever in your corner!

Maddie,
Thank you for all of your work with student organizations last year. So stellar and so appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚
Congratulations!
Elaina

Maddie! Funny enough, I never thought we would end up being friends, but you have become one of the closest and most amazing friends I have, and I cannot be more grateful for you! You truly are a force to be reckoned with, and I am so ready to see what you do next. You are one of the most competent people I have ever known or worked with, and you are a blessing in my life, especially when we were on the Cabinet.

I hope that whatever you choose to do next excites you and provides you with great opportunities to grow and be challenged! I honestly will never forget all the laughs, long talks, and boss meetings we have had, and I can’t wait for our friendship to grow.

You are ready and capable of taking on all of the challenges ahead, and I know you will do so with grace and a little sass to make things interesting. Go show the world that a powerful woman is truly a boss and not “bossy.” I am rooting for you!

there are few like you, Maddieโ€” an incredible leader, willing to serve without credit, smart but so humble, hilarious, kind, resilient. your dance mom skit at house retreat was one of the best things Iโ€™ve ever seen. what would SBA be without your contagious laugh and constant friendship?! I am so impressed by you and so glad that I know you!! love you! <3

Congratulations Maddie!! As many have said, you have such a gift for balancing strength with kindness and use that gift so well to powerfully love those around you. I know you’ll go on to bless the world in some special way, and I’m excited to see how that pans out ๐Ÿ™‚

Madelynn!! For a second when I saw “House of Susan B. Anthony President (2018-2019)” listed as one of your achievements I actually thought “Yeah, yeah she was!” for a second, and honestly that’s such a good reflection of how much care and love you’ve put into SBA and the King’s community. You don’t need to be SBA pres or student body pres when you’ve got your care and drive, and while titles are nice, character and authenticity are so much more important. Thank you for being such a force for good at King’s, and good luck out there!!

Congratulations and best wishes! Thanks for your help last year at ReligionUnplugged.com. – Prof Glader

Many, many congratulations! Looking forward to seeing what is next for you. And thanks again for the bacon, egg, and cheese a few years back. It really was quite good. And it came with some coffee, if memory serves.

Mad Dog, worming my way into your roommate group sophomore year is one of the most wonderful things that’s ever happened to me, because I got to know your beautiful soul so well. I love your passion for justice, how much you make me laugh, and how we have the most bizarre Venn diagram of celebrity crushes. I’m so, so glad you’re in my life. Love you!!!

Madelynn,

Please accept my belated congratulations on earning your RTS degree and graduating in the spring. I was delighted to have you as a student in Con Law, International Politics, and Russia & the West. You always asked probing questions, both in and outside the classroom, and your commitment to excellence was evident in each course you took with me. I look forward to staying in touch and seeing you at the annual SBA Alumnae Dinner. Wishing you many blessings. As ever, DLT
