Notes for Njeri

How fun to have gotten to watch you flourish in your time here at King’s. You have such talent and wisdom, with the wonderful ability to articulate your thoughts and ideas. May you lean on Him in your next steps and along the path ahead.

Njeri, one of the first ten Booms I ever met. Our journey started way before my King’s tenure, and I am so thankful that I got the honor of continuing it by being such a big part of ten Boom. You are such a delightful and unique person who I have watch embrace (sometimes reluctantly 🙂 the challenges before you head on. Congratulations! You did it! You will never have to go to school again!!! (unless you so choose.)

Love you immensly!

Njeri, congrats on your graduation! It was a real treat hearing your bold and thoughtful perspectives in APTAP II. Continue to pursue the truth wherever it may lead!

I love you Njeri. I could have never done this without you, sweet friend. Thank you for all the sweet chats at the Stu Serv desk and all the laughs and rants. Forever grateful for your friendship!

Congratulations! May the Lord bless all of your endeavors as you head into the next phase of your journey. God bless you!

Bracey

Congratulations! You’re such a beautiful and elegant force in this world and I know there are great things ahead. Love you!

God knows I could never say all I want to in a little text box—but you’ve heard most of it countless times, anyway. In brief: I love you with EVERY fiber of my being; I am SO proud of you, I am SO proud of past-you, I am SO proud of who you are becoming; every single day I am HONORED to have been your friend and been by your side every step of the way. I couldn’t imagine life without you, and frankly, I don’t want to you. Celebrating you today and every day, my dear friend.

FOUR YEARS, BABY.

I will never, ever be over how very much I lucked out in ending up as your roommate freshman year. Or that we would live together another three years. What a very, very happy time it has been. What luck that we both know our introverted rhythms so well that we’ve never had to say when we need space, and when we’re ready to have a chat.

I love you for things both trivial and not. Your wonderful laugh, your brilliant smile, and your love of Prince Zuko’s character arc. How you care so deeply about finding justice in the world and your excellent writing. Your love of cookie dough, cheese, and Dreamgirls. Your kind patience with how I still don’t know all the faces of the BTS members. How much you make others feel safe, heard, and loved. And how extremely cool you are. That people are always shocked when they find out we’re roommates is hilarious to me, and yet so accurate: you ARE the coolest. So your deigning to live with me this long is an honor.

I love you very, very, very, very (that’s four!) much. We did it, starshine! I am so proud of you, and I can’t wait to see where you go in the world. I am always cheering you on.

Njeri! You walk through life with such grace. It is a privilege to witness. The fact that I’ve gotten to be even a small part of your life makes me so happy. Love you, sweet friend. Thanks for always having the answers or listening ear I need (I’m definitely just talking about when you’re working the desk and not about the times you’ve randomly let me rant to you).

Njeri, what a blessing it has been to get to know you as a friend, a fellow ten boomer, and a classmate. Your confident and ever-stylin’ personality is always such a joy to see. One of my favorite memories of you was when we were studying in the hanover lounge and decided to take a break. So you guided me and a few others through an arm workout to RuPaul’s Supermodel and my arms burned like nothing else, but you just sat upright with this big smile on your face as you sang along. I still randomly do that workout when I’m procrastinating with something. I feel like that memory captures everything that is fun and joyful about you in the way that you involve others in your fun as well. Congratulations on finishing up!!!!

Congratulations Njeri!!! You did it! You are so cool and amazing and so, SO kind. I am so proud of you and all you’ve done and I cannot wait to see you continue to be amazing! <3

Njeri!!

Congratulations on wrapping it up fam!! Your energy is always so dope and our conversations are never dull. Thank you for being an awesome friend and human. I wish you the best in finals and whatever venture you decide to go onto next!

Oh and PS – WE STILL NEED TO HIT THAT YEMENI RESTAURANT. For real though hahaha, I know life has been crazy busy, but I am making it a mission for us to kick it post-grad, that’s a fact. So see you soon.

My dearest baby girl. Can I be more proud of you today than yesterday?? I don’t know. But yes. Every day am proud of your grace, your wisdom, your perseverance and your strength, all that have cumulatively given you this great achievement. Am thankful of your sweet spirit, your attentively listening manner and your sincere friendship to many. I pray that God continue to pave the way for you and that you are fulfilled knowing you can do it. You are a powerhouse in every sense of that word. Embrace your strength, your talent and your ability. Lean into your courage and accept that challenge. Because you are a winner, a champion and a world changer. I love you always.

NJERI!!! Congratulations girl!!! So so proud of you and so glad to know you! May God bless you continually!

You are so unbelievably cool and kind, and every convo I had with you brightened my day. You are such a bright light to everyone around you, and I can’t way to see what you kindness and passion bring into the world!! Congratulations Njeri!!!

Congrats Queen Njeri!

You’re kindness and dedication is commendable! Wishing you all the best for the future.

Njeri, It was an honor to have you as part of our major and I sense you are just getting rolling on what it will mean to your future. I do hope you stay in touch with me and Lisi and let us know how we can help you in the next chapter. Congratulations on graduation! – Prof. Glader
